Terms of Service
1. Who these terms are between
These terms govern your use of Silent Churn, operated by Grégoire Bischoff, entrepreneur individuel, 10 rue des Morins, 37600 Beaulieu-lès-Loches, France, registered under SIREN 902 216 787 ("we", "us"). By connecting a Stripe account you accept them.
2. What the service does
Silent Churn connects to your Stripe account with read-only permission, analyses your historical invoice and subscription data, and produces a report describing revenue lost to failed payments. The service is currently provided free of charge.
The service reads. It does not create charges, issue refunds, modify subscriptions, contact your customers, or change anything in your Stripe account.
3. Your account and your authority
You must be authorised to grant access to the Stripe account you connect. You are responsible for the actions taken under your Stripe login, and you may revoke our access at any time from your Stripe Dashboard under Settings → Connected applications.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- connect a Stripe account you are not authorised to access;
- attempt to gain access to another user's report or to our systems;
- probe, scan, or load-test the service without our written permission;
- use automated means to access the service at a volume that degrades it for others.
5. The report is information, not advice
The report is generated automatically from the data Stripe returns. We take care to define every figure precisely and publish those definitions on How it's calculated, but we do not warrant that the report is free of error or suitable for accounting, tax, audit or regulatory purposes.
Nothing in the report is financial, legal, or tax advice. Any benchmark or industry range we show is context for interpretation, not a prediction of your results and not a commitment by us. Decisions you take on the basis of the report are yours.
6. Availability
The service is provided as it is and as it is available. We give no uptime guarantee, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue it at any time. We depend on Stripe's API; if it is unavailable or changes, the service may be interrupted.
7. Your data
How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we do not store your Stripe credential, we do not store your customers' personal data, and we keep only aggregate figures.
8. Intellectual property
We own the service, its software and its content. You own your data and the report generated about your business, and you may use it freely for any purpose.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and given that the service is provided free of charge, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revenue, lost profits, or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence.
10. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time by revoking our access in Stripe. We may suspend access for anyone who breaches these terms.
11. Relationship with Stripe
We are an independent application that connects to Stripe. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Stripe, Inc. Your relationship with Stripe is governed by your own agreement with them.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes fall to the competent courts of France, without prejudice to any mandatory protection you enjoy under the law of your own country of residence.
